Do you offer parking onsite? Yes, we offer free parking to motel guests staying in Tobermory. Our main parking lot is located right in front of the accommodations. There is also additional parking across the street at 17 Hay Bay Rd. If you have any other questions about parking please contact us
Do I have to pay for parking in Tobermory? Tobermory has many paid parking lots operated by North Bruce Peninsula. For more information on paid parking please visit the North Bruce Peninsula’s Parking website.

Note: There are two paid parking lots adjacent to the Escarpment Heights Motel. Please make sure you are parked in one of our lots ensure you do not get a parking ticket.
How to do I get to Flowerpot Island? Bruce Anchor Cruises offers glass bottom boat tours to Flowerpot Island. Flowerpot is located approximately 4 km of the shores of Tobermory and is part of Fathom Five National Marine Park. For more information checkout the Parks Canada Website.
How to I make a reservation for the Grotto? Confirmed reservations are required to visit the Grotto/ Cyprus Lake from April 30th – October 31st. To make a reservation visit the Parks Canada Website or call their reservation line at 1-877-737-378
What is Halfway Log Dump? Halfway Log Dump is a beautiful rock beach located along the Georgian Bay shoreline just south of the Grotto. Access is through Emmet Lake Road from Highway 6. Parking Reservations are required to visit from June 15 – September 6. There are two time slots per day, 6 hours each. 7 am – 1 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm. How long should I stay in Tobermory? It all depends on how much you would like to see, and how much time you want at every attraction. We recommend at least 3-4 days to see the Bruce Peninsula National Park, The Fathom Five Marine Park including Flowerpot Island, Little Tub Harbour, and some of the local beaches. An extra day may be needed to account for raining weather etc.
What is Little Cove Beach? Little Cove is a small Stoney beach located approximately 4 km south of Tobermory. Reservations are required to visit between May 15th and October 15th with 4-hour time slots available. To make a reservation visit the Municipal Park Pass Program at the following link Reserve here.
Where are the closest sand beaches? Tobermory has two sand beaches. Dunks Bay is a small beach located approximately 2km south of town. Dunks provides access to the cold clear waters of Georgian Bay. Singing Sands is a larger beach operated by Parks Canada. It is located around 10km south of Tobermory and provides access to the Lake Huron side of the peninsula. Parking at both beaches are first come first serve, and fill up quickly so the earlier you can arrive in the morning the better!
How do I see the shipwrecks?
There are 22 known shipwrecks within Fathom Five National Marine Park. Many of which are in very deep water that can only be accessed by experienced SCUBA divers. There are, however, a few that can be viewed from the surface, by snorkeling or on a Glass Bottom boat tour. Bruce Anchor Cruises provides several trips over the shipwrecks every day on their Glass Bottom boats. Alternatively, if you would like to snorkel some shallow wrecks you can check out The Tugsjust outside of Little Tub Harbour.
